If you Cannot Live in the House
Individuals that have experienced a fire and cannot live in their home may recieve assistance (food, clothing, lodging, etc.) from the American Red Cross.  To contact the Red Cross directly call (619) 291-2620 and ask for emergency services.

Construction
If the building is structurally damaged to the point that it is not habitable, a building inspector must be called.  After the building inspection is completed, a permit must be obtained before making repairs.  Telephone the Department of Planning and Land Use at (619) 694-2960.
